This privacy policy applies to the commercial offering of Nuitka, including Nuitka commercial features, license management, and the Nuitka subscription service. As of today, Nuitka commercial does not collect, store, or process any personal data from its users. The commercial plugins and the Nuitka compiler itself operate entirely on your local machine and do not transmit any information back to us. In future versions, the Nuitka commercial software will perform the following data processing to enable license validation and provide update notifications: During license status checks and update queries, we will transmit and temporarily log abbreviated IP addresses (the last octet removed for IPv4, or the last 64 bits removed for IPv6). These truncated addresses do not allow identification of individual users or devices. A basic machine identifier (derived from your system hardware or OS installation) will be transmitted to verify that a license is used within its permitted scope and to correlate update check requests. No other information — such as your source code, compiled binaries, file names, project configurations, or any personal data — will ever be transmitted automatically. Note These changes have not been implemented yet. This document will be updated with the exact details once the feature is released. The data described above is collected exclusively for the following purposes: License validation — ensuring that a Nuitka commercial license is valid and used within its permitted terms. Update notifications — informing users when a newer version of Nuitka commercial is available. Abbreviated IP addresses and machine identifiers are stored only for the duration of these operations and are automatically purged from our logs within a reasonable timeframe (no longer than 90 days). For users in the European Economic Area, the legal basis for the planned processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary for the performance of a contract (the commercial license agreement between you and Nuitka Services). Nuitka commercial does not share data with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. License validation and update checks communicate exclusively with servers operated by or on behalf of Nuitka Services.
